Poultry Gut Health Solutions

The mucosal defenses of the gut are the body's first line of defense, so the health of the gut represents the health level of the body, and often determines the body's ability to digest feed and absorb nutrients. Improving the digestibility and absorption rate of feed, reducing the ratio of feed to eggs and feed to meat, can effectively reduce feed costs and improve the economic efficiency of breeding.

We at ROTA focuses on the R&D of animal homologous bioactive substances. Our innovative products are designed to fundamentally solve animal gut problems and reshape the foundations of animal health.

Establishment of Immune Defense Line
Some traditional means of disease control or defense help or enhance humoral and cellular immunity through fluid circulation, such as drugs and vaccines. These methods can only work on the animal's second line of defense. But the first lines of mucosal immunity, such as the mucosal of the gut and respiratory tract, which are involved early on in defending against disease-causing microorganisms, are often overlooked. Therefore, how to enhance the resistance of the mucosal system is the best solution to prevent pathogenic microorganisms from invading the body. Learn more

A large number of immune cells are gathered in the intestinal mucosa to participate in the immune response of the body, so whether the intestinal health determines the level of the immune response of the body, and the body's ability to resist the outside world and the level of antibodies have a great correlation with the intestinal health.

Antimicrobial peptides are important chemokines and action molecules in animal mucosal system, which can summon immune cells to reduce mucosal stress response and promote the secretion of immunoglobulin, thus playing a role in immune response. Learn more

Due to intensive breeding, the secretion of antimicrobial peptides of poultry itself cannot meet their growth needs and their resistance to diseases is reduced. Therefore, we add exogenous peptides to the feed to help them.

Intestine Repair
The poultry digestive tract is relatively shortthe feed is passed quickly through the gut, any reduction of the absorption capacity in the digestive tract will increase the nutrient concentration of the intestinal tract, especially the cecum, causes a colony disorder and severe intestinal disease. Same time, the bacteria, virus infection, feed toxin and other factors often destroy intestinal epithelial tissue.

The injured intestinal epithelium is linked with a variety of pathogenic factors and occurs cascade reaction is the main cause of intestinal dysfunction and the outbreak of malignant intestinal diseases. The integrity of intestinal epithelial tissue and rapid repair after injury is the key to preventing intestinal disease and deterioration.

The supplementation of endogenous growth repair factors can promote intestinal development and intestinal epithelial tissue damage repair, promote the improvement of intestinal structure and function, enhance the barrier function of intestinal mucosa, improve intestinal health, and ultimately reduce the risk of culture.

Compared to common feed additives on the market, our endogenous growth and repair factors -EGF is unique in that it act directly on the gut itself, not only as an indirect nutritional supplement.

Antibiotic Free

The reduction or complete removal of antibiotic growth promoters (AGPs) in poultry farming has occurred for many years, and the use of antibiotics has different regulations and corresponding market needs in different countries.

In terms of the current economic environment and culture technology in the world, antibioitic completely free  in most areas is not possible, at least in the short term. Therefore, the current approach is usually to minimize the use of antibiotics so that they meet national monitoring standards.

But the complete removal of antibiotics is a global trend, and new AGP alternatives already exist in the farming industry, with only a small number of countries still relying on antibiotics for reducing disease and promoting growth.

We have been working on the replacement of antibiotics with bioactive peptides. As a new feed additive, antimicrobial peptides can not only help expand the effectiveness of antibiotics, but also improve the defense ability of animals against diseases.

Coccodiosis Control

After the intestinal infection, the coccidium develops and reproduces in intestinal epithelial cells,
which will destroy the intestinal epithelial cells and cause cells disintegrate, severe cases even
cause intestinal mucosal tissue to fall off and cause digestive absorption function obstructed.

The infection of coccidium will induces the pathogenic bacteria, especially the abnormal
proliferation of clostridium difficile, and the severe intestinal diseases such as necrotizing
enteritis and non-specific enteritis.

Exogenously added repair factors, which will bind to the receptors on the damaged small intestinal villi, promote the recovery and regeneration of intestinal villi.
